not able to choose different protocols like tcp or udp or wireguard or ikeV2, because it's unfortunately blocked on the school network so that's why i give it 4 instead of 5 stars. but aside from that i give it a solid 4 out of the 5 possible stars.

Its been 3 years since I started to using Surfshark. And Its a great and smooth experience so far.

At first I was very happy with the product. In practice, it is neither convinient, effective nor do I have confidence that it providces the security I expected. Convinience: Many apps and sites either reject SurfShark connection or add additional authorization prompts. Effectivity: One game's ads, which were initially blocked, now sends 25 second ads of their own, rather than 5 second adds of third parties. Security: I don't think I've ever had any suspicious activty from outside the US, unless I used something like Amazon UK. Since I've installed SurfShark, I get about one overseas suspiscious event per week. They included from Russin, Pakistan, and the UK. I attribute this to either or both of these situations: First, the VPN occasionaly connects to servers outside the US without my approval; these may be insecure. Second, NordVPN (which owns SurfShark) could be Russia sponsored or has been hacked by Russia. All that said, some of my observed problems could be due to my lack of knowledge (dispite 50 years in IT) about the internals of SurfShark. However, you do not have to understand how an internal combustion engine works to drive a car, not do you need to know how the cell phone network operates to make phone calls. The app and extension need to be more suitable to the average user.

I use a Chromebook laptop, Samsung cellphone and Samsung Tablet. I was using a different VPN app that ran very slowly when I wanted to use my browser. Surfshark runs very fast and connects automatically and has antivirus and checks for threats and checks if my personal data has been leaked, (breached) online. I was also able to chat with customer service to answer any questions. This is a great VPN!

I LOVE THIS TOOL!

This VPN automaticaly turns off, just loses connection! Did it enough times for me to take notice. The auto-connect often sits there idle until I manually select a location to connect to. And now and again, it will block sites like google.com and ones I have whitelisted!

only idiots like Ryan Fang would nt know how to work a browser extension. This has been a perfect addition to my Surfshark VPN/AntiVirus applications.

This app is stupid as hell! Who expects there to be an adblocker included with a **VPN**???!!! At least if you include an adblocker MAKE IT OFF BY DEFAULT. When I download a VPN extension, I expect it to perform VPN functions and VPN functions ONLY. Websites kept telling me to disable my adblocker, which I did (I use uBlock origin), yet they kept saying I still had an adblocker on. Stupid surfshark turned out to be the culprit. I will NOT be paying for surfshark anymore. Developers, you have some serious issues in forcing your ways into people's web behaviour and thinking everyone wants to do it "your way".

Easy and simple!

I've been using it for more than two years. I bought one account and installed it in my computer, mobile phone and other devices; even shared it with friends and didn't face any issue. I use it a lot to block adds from websites and avoid fishing. Lastly, I really need it to change my location and use websites from other countries (I think almost everything is open in my country, but when I travel abroad I can't use my own country's websites). I think surshark worth each cent I pay for it.
